Job Description

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for all processes relating to material handling including shipping and receiving functions, material storage, non-conforming items and distribution. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the inventory control specialist ensures cost effective, efficient and safe receipt and transportation of goods .The inventory controller  should ensure that the stock of inventory is sufficient (not too less or too much) by placing orders with purchase department. The inventory controller needs to review procurement to ensure that enough stock is available to satisfy the customers. Monitoring whether the conditions and standards of the warehouse where stock is kept are up to the mark in addition to responsibility of protecting the inventory from damage, loss and theft. This position requires a blend of skills and experience that are specifically focused on the inventory management of several hundred merchandise items within two on-site warehouses
